Intel’s 14th Gen Core processors are still a hot search topic among laptop buyers in Bangladesh. People want to know the 14th Gen laptop price in Bangladesh, whether it is worth paying extra for the newer chip, and how it compares with 13th Gen models that are often cheaper. In this full guide, we explain what 14th Gen is, who it is for, real price examples from System Palace and how to buy smartly.
What Is Intel 14th Gen?
Intel’s 14th Gen Core mobile processors (code-named Raptor Lake Refresh) are an update of the 13th Gen design. They focus mainly on the high-performance H and HX series, built for gaming laptops, content creation and power users. In simple terms:
- HX series (for example Core i7-14700HX, i9-14900HX): Desktop-class power for heavy gaming, rendering and demanding multitasking. Found in high-end gaming and workstation laptops.
- H series (for example Core i7-14700H): Strong performance in slimmer gaming and creator laptops.
A naming note: Intel’s newer Core Ultra laptops (such as Core Ultra 5 125H) use a different naming style and are not sold as “14th Gen,” even though they came out around the same time. Do not mix them up when comparing prices.
14th Gen Laptop Price in Bangladesh
Prices depend on the exact chip, graphics card, RAM, storage and display. As a real example from System Palace at the time of writing:
| Laptop | Key Specs | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10 (Core i7) | 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 5060 8GB, 15.3″ OLED | ৳217,000 |
| Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10 (Core i7-14700HX, WQXGA OLED) | RTX 5060 8GB, 15.1″ WQXGA OLED | ৳235,000 |
HX-class 14th Gen laptops sit in the premium gaming and performance bracket, so expect prices to start well above mid-range office laptops. Laptops with H-series chips and lower-tier GPUs generally cost less than HX models, while models with higher-tier graphics cost more. Prices change with the exchange rate and stock, so always confirm the latest price on the laptop page or by calling 01915-587047.
What Affects 14th Gen Laptop Prices?
- Processor tier: i5 < i7 < i9, and HX > H.
- Graphics card: An RTX 5050 or 5060 laptop costs less than one with a higher-end GPU.
- RAM and storage: 16GB with 1TB SSD costs more than 16GB with 512GB.
- Display: OLED, high refresh rate or high resolution panels raise the price.
- Brand and series: Legion, ROG and similar gaming lines cost more than entry gaming lines such as LOQ or Victus.
- Warranty and seller: Genuine products with official warranty cost more than grey-market imports, but they protect you.
14th Gen vs 13th Gen: Is It Worth the Extra Money?
The 14th Gen HX chips are a modest upgrade over 13th Gen: slightly higher clock speeds and small performance gains on a similar design. If you can find a 13th Gen laptop with the same GPU for noticeably less, it can be the smarter buy. The graphics card matters as much as the processor in gaming, so compare both.
Here are some 13th Gen options at System Palace for comparison (prices at the time of writing):
| Laptop | Specs | Price |
|---|---|---|
| HP Victus 15-FA2013DX | Core i5-13420H, RTX 3050 6GB | ৳109,000 |
| HP Victus 15-fa2082wm | Core i5-13420H, RTX 4050 6GB, 16GB, 512GB SSD, 144Hz | ৳133,000 |
| HP Victus 15-fa2391TX | Core i7-13620H, RTX 5050 8GB | ৳165,000 |
| ASUS Vivobook A1502VA | Core i5-13420H, 16GB, 512GB SSD (no dedicated GPU) | ৳83,000 |
Rule of thumb: Buy a 14th Gen HX laptop if you need maximum CPU power for heavy rendering, simulation, streaming plus gaming or professional workloads. Buy a good 13th Gen laptop if you want strong everyday gaming or work performance and care more about price.
Who Should Buy a 14th Gen Laptop?
- Serious gamers who want high frame rates in modern titles.
- Video editors, 3D artists and animators who need strong multi-core performance.
- Developers and engineers running virtual machines, compilers and heavy workloads.
- Content creators who stream while gaming or editing.
Who Should Skip It?
- Students and office users who only need documents, browsing and video calls. A Core i5 or Core Ultra 5 laptop with 16GB RAM costs far less. See the student laptop collection or the best laptops under ৳15,000–20,000 guide.
- Travellers who need light weight and long battery life: HX gaming laptops are heavy and battery-hungry.
What to Check Before Buying
- Cooling: HX processors run hot. Good cooling is essential, so read reviews on thermals.
- Graphics card: The GPU decides gaming performance. A 14th Gen CPU with a weak GPU is a poor deal.
- RAM: 16GB is the standard. Check if it is upgradable; our guide on how to install RAM in a laptop and PC shows you how.
- Storage: 512GB minimum, 1TB preferred.
- Display: Look for 144Hz or higher for gaming, and OLED if you care about colour.
- Battery and charger: Gaming laptops need a high-wattage charger. Learn to check battery condition using the Windows battery health report.
- Warranty: Ask for official warranty and an invoice.
